Ella Gets Tangled
This cake was for one of my daughter's BFFs for her 4th Birthday. It was a Tangled themed Pump It Up party. Her mom gave me the figurines on top to mimic the lantern scene of the movie. The boat that the figurines came in was too big so I made my own boat out of fondant to fit the cake. The waves were made by cutting out a bunch of circles and cutting them in half and then placing them around the boat. I used a braid mold to make the name and boarder around the cake.
The cupcakes were decorated with fondant cutouts. Rapunzel's Braid, a number 4 for Ella's age, and flowers.

The Wonder Twins!
Chuggington, Chugga Chugga, Chugga Chugga, Chuggington! |
Princess Aurora for Princess Cassidy! |
These cakes where made for my friends' twin boy and girl. They celebrated their 3rd birthdays at Goofy's Kitchen at Disneyland Hotel. So it was fitting that both twins had their favorite Disney characters as a theme for their Birthday cakes.
Boy twin Dylan's cartoon of choice is Disney's Chuggington. His mom told me his 3 favorite trains on the show so I molded each one out of fondant and placed them on top of the train tracks on the cake. The sign with his name was made out of gum paste and placed on the cake with skewers. The whole time I was making this cake I could not get the theme song out of my head I was singing it so much that it spread to my 3 year old daughter who would not stop singing it as well.
Girl twin Cassidy's favorite Disney princess is Princess Aurora and also has an obsession with the color pink. I used a brick impression mold for the sides of the cake to make it have somewhat of a castle effect and draped white fondant all around the cake. The princess was a Wondermold topper that I draped with pink fondant adding curled pieces of fondant all around the skirt.
It's the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse come inside it's fun inside!
Smash cake just for the Birthday Girl! |
For some reason the weather was not cooperating with me while I was making this cake and I was having issues with the fondant lifting from the cake, but I worked with it the best that I could.
The three tiers where 6", 8", & 10". The bottom tier was the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse scene cut out in fondant and the middle and top tiers where accented in Mickey Mouse Clubhouse colors along with Mickey Mouse Heads to tie in the entire theme together.
The smash cake was a 4" round matching the tiered cake for the special birthday girl.
