Ruffled Baby Shower Cake

This was a 10" and 6" tiered cake.  Ivory ruffles all around the cake with a pink flower embellished with off-white pearls.

Dodger Baby Blue

These cupcakes were made for a LA Dodger themed baby shower.  Chocolate cupcakes with rich vanilla buttercream and vanilla cupcakes with chocolate ganache.

Tiffany Sweet 16

This was a cupcake tower I made for a joint sweet 16 party that was held at the Yorba Linda Country Club.

The cake was a 6" Tiffany Box with a chain link bracelet on top with the celebrants names on top.  There were 2 types of cupcakes on the tower.  The Tiffany blue cupcakes where chocolate with rich vanilla buttercream and white chocolate bows on top.  The white cupcakes where red velvet with cream cheese icing topped with Tiffany blue sprinkles.

Pokemon Black and White

This was a Pokemon Black and White cake.  To be honest with you when I was first asked to make this cake I thought it was just a black and white Pokemon.  I had to do a Google search to see what it was.  When I found out it was dragons I thought yes, I could do this.  I love a challenge.

I made both dragons out of gum paste.  I made the wings first to let them shape and harden and then the rest of the body.  I had to use royal icing to stick the wings on to keep them in place.

Ice Cream Parlor Cake

I made this cake for my youngest daughter, Nia (Nia Cakes) who was celebrating her 2nd Birthday.  We celebrated with her at Farrell's Ice Cream Parlor so I thought it was fitting to make an ice cream themed cake.

The sad thing is we never even ended up eating the cake.  There was so much ice cream and food that the cake sat in the frig for 2 weeks with no one touching it.  So we ended up throwing it away.

Honeymoon Bridal Shower

I made this cake for friends of mine.  They were having a honeymoon themed bridal shower and I surprised them with this cake.  They will be getting married on May 19th of this year and will be going to Hawaii for their honeymoon.

The cake was a 10" and 6" tiered cake with white chocolate seashells and fondant flowers and decorations.

I also have the privilege of making their wedding cake.  So stay tuned for pictures to come.

Spiderman Cake

This cake was for my nephew Gavin's 3rd birthday.  It was a 6" cake made for the top of a cupcake tower.  Chocolate cake with Oreo cookie filling. Yumm!

Spiderman Bust

This was a 12" Spiderman bust cake.  The bust was made out of rice krispy treats covered in fondant.  All completely edible.

Paul Frank

This was a Paul Frank cake I made for my friend's son, Ronav.  They were celebrating his 6 month Birthday and mom and dad both love dressing Ronav in Paul Frank clothing.  So it was fitting to have a Paul Frank cake to celebrate his first 6 months here on Earth.

Yo Gabba Gabba

This was a 10" & 8" 2 tier Yo Gabba Gabba cake and Muno smash cake.

This was for Mac's 2nd Birthday.  He was so excited about his cake that Mac put his mark on the cake before his guests came.  Mac ate a piece of Toodee's foot and plucked out Plex's eyes, but nevertheless everyone still got to enjoy the cake.

Garden Party

This was a 10" cake and cake pops for a garden theme birthday party.

Choo Choo Cupcakes

These were trained themed cupcakes with a railroad sign, rail road tracks and bandanas.

Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto!

This cake and smash cake was for baby J.Z.'s first birthday party.

The robot on the cake was made completely out of fondant.  I made the smash cake completely egg free because he has a slight allergy to eggs.  Baby J.Z. wasn't too sure what to do with his smash cake so he just stared at it.

Phineas and Ferb

Phineas and Ferb theme cake along with rainbow mini cupcakes.

The cake was covered in fondant and figures where made out of fondant and gum paste.

Sherlock Holmes Cake

This was a half sheet cake carved into an antique book.  The magnify glass and pipe where made out of fondant and hand painted with gold to give it an antique look.  The book was covered in fondant and hand painted to give it some texture.  I the text on top of the book was hand written in edible ink and was an actual excerpt from a Sherlock Holmes novel.

Happy Birthday to me!

The only problem with being a baker is I now have to make my own birthday cakes. :)  It's okay, I enjoy making them.  I had to decorate this cake in 15mins.  I couldn't be late for my date night with my hubs.  So I just put a ribbon for the boarder and cut out a few flowers to embellish the cake.

Egg-Free 3rd Birthday Cake

This cake was for my niece Ave Lily who was turning 3.  She is allergic to egg so the cake and cupcakes where made completely egg free.  This was the first time using an egg substitute and the cake and cupcakes came out amazing.  Guest did not even know the egg was missing.  The only difference using egg substitute was I had to bake them a little bit longer  because the cake came out really moist.

"Every Child is an Artist"

The theme of this party was "Every child is an Artist".  The cake was a 10" round cake carved out like a painter's palette.  I used royal icing to make the splatter marks on the cake and the paint blots on top.  The inside of the cake was made with multicolored batter so when the cake was cute the colors exploded.

The "Every child is an artist" cookie was white royal icing with "Every child is an artist" printed on edible rice paper and placed on top.

The palette cookies where round cookies covered in white royal icing with royal icing paint blots.

It's a Boy!

This was  2 tier baby shower cake, 10" & 9".  The mommy-to-be gave me the booties, pacifier, and keys to add onto the cake.

Snare Drum Cake

This cake was  6" cake covered in white fondant.  I sprayed the side of the cake with gold luster and painted the accents with silver dye.

Pink Party!

This was a pink theme birthday party.  6" round cake with mini cupcakes for a cupcake tower.

Carousel Cake

This was a carousel themed cake and smash cake for a 1st birthday party that was held on the Santa Monica Pier.  The entire piece was made out of cake and almost completely edible.  The only part of the cake that was not edible were the horse poles and flag pole which were lollipop sticks.

I used a candy mold to mold out the horses on the carousel and used fondant to make the mane, tail, and saddle of each horse.

The smash cake was a single horse that matched the carousel made especially for the birthday girl herself.

40th Birthday Tiffany's style

This is was a 10 x 10 Tiffany box cake with a fondant white ribbon and gift tag.

Woodland Creatures Cake and Cupcakes

This cake was for Isla who was turning 3.  The theme of her party was woodland creatures.  Her mom sent me a picture of a pin cushion and asked me if I could make it into a cake.

The cake was made using 2 types of pans.  The bottom part of the cake was a round 10" cake covered in fondant.  I gave it some ridges to make it look similar to a tree stump.  For the top part of the cake I used a magic mold to create the hill mound.  All the creatures and mushrooms were made out of fondant.

Along with the cake I made mini cupcakes to match the theme of the cake.
